Can I set up nameservers attached to my domain?

As part of the reseller package, resellers are entitled to utilize nameservers attached to their own domain (or any domain they own) at no extra charge. Please contact support via the web interface or via email to support@hostmatters.com with the domain name against which you wish to have nameservers created and the nameservers you would like assigned. By default, we will create nameservers as ns.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com if the names are not otherwise specified.

Created nameservers must be registered at your registrar prior to their use for client sites. Any nameserver pair can be utilized, as long as the registrar where the nameservers will be registered supports the naming scheme you choose. Some registrars, such as Enom, require that nameservers be denoted as nsx or dnsx and support no other naming convention for nameservers. Other registrars permit any leading designation. If you elect to use nameservers other than nsx.yourdomain.com or dnsx.yourdomain.com, please verify that your registrar supports other designations prior to requesting nameservers.
